Campus Parking
Campus parking has become an issue at Slippery Rock University. Many people have been getting tickets and I have seen them getting tickets. Many people only spend ten minutes in one parking spot and in that ten minutes they have received a ticket. Fortunately, I have not received a ticket but have come pretty close to getting one. Campus parking is hectic and there are not enough spots on campus. So why don't people walk? Most people do walk but you always have some people that do not walk at all. Maybe someone needs to go somewhere right after class and can't afford to walk or they'll be late. If thats the case then maybe they do need a parking spot and then you have the people that can walk who park in a spot for no reason. Why do people not want to walk and exercise? It is unacceptable for those people who do not walk just for no reason. Has anyone else been a victim of no parking spots as I have?

Although I do not have a parking pass for on campus becuase I like to walk, I do notice an increase in the amount of parking passes being handed out. The parking pass lady is relentless in her little match box car. I know a good amount of people who have fell victim to her and it is getting kind of ridiculous. And I do believe that the price of a ticket has increased. As if the price of tuition and books and meal plans and the money from the parking passes itself isn't enough.
ReplyDeleteI agree. This parking pass things is getting to be crazy. The bottom lot behind the dorms is labeled commuter? But all residents park there? I'm a resident and my car is parked there now, I just know one of these days she's going to be in a bad mood or they need to make a quota and she's going to write 50 tickets to every person down there only when she feels the need to.
ReplyDeleteI lived pretty far off campus last year and had to drive to every class, I got like 4 or 5 tickets and I hated parking on campus more than anything. Fortunately I moved closer to campus this year and now I walk to every class. I feel bad for commuters who have to try to find a spot every day it's ridiculous.
